MADRID (Reuters) - Spanish criminals who stole bank details from computers around the world did not realize the power of the illegal network they had created which could have paralyzed an entire country's computer systems, police said.
Police gave a news conference on Wednesday, a day after they arrested three people for what they believe to have been one of the biggest computer crimes ever detected.
Caught because one of them didn't mask their IP when logging into the network, which led investigators to the others

I think the real point of the story has been overlooked:

If that's the real point of the story, and it might be, we need to wait for the next version of IE which will promise to be secure... like they promised while releasing every previous version. I don't like to jump on a company but saying it like it is has become a broken record.

It's always dangerous when using online banking services and online stores, but hey, this is the future and protection is something to be increased with everyday use. :)

I think the real point of the story has been overlooked:
Thats what gets me! here in France they just say 13 million computers! why don't they say 13 million computers running MS operating system ? This is to protect MS shareholders or to boost anti virus sales.
Could we be manipulated all down the line ?... :-)
