Webmasters,
Had one of my sites (on a hosted dedicated server) hacked and was wondering how best to handle this. I already changed my ftp password and am now entrusting the group I hire to watch my domains -an assisted service support team (whom I pay a couple $100/mo to watch over my server) to resolve this for me. Upon reporting my situation to the assisted dedicated service team at my hosting provider they noted that they are not responsible to prevent malicious attacks; they are however taking responsibility to try and resolve it (yeah, I think). Currently, nothing appears externally wrong with our site - it still appears on other SERP on other providers. And at Google it now has the warning and preventing anyone from visiting. So, with the exception of what Google is now presenting to new visitors who find us via search, this site is fine. The problem is of course that it is a complete traffic killer for our busines as basically no one can visit now if they search and find us via Google.

Anyone out there have any suggestions?

G explains what to do here [google.com...] Basically it says to acquire their Webmaster Tools then submit my site once corerctions are made to fix it. Is there anything else I should be doing though?

Yes, this particular hosting company calls their managed dedi: "Assisted Service Plan (or support).

As long as you don't know how the infection happened, there is no way to be sure it won't happen again. Furthermore you don't know if the hacker left any backdoor in your server. Only when you are sure everything is clean you should mark the site as clean in Google's webmasters tools.
