Hi all,

We have a client who has a website through a CMS paltform, (cant mention but commercial one).

One area is secure and users need to log in to see the content, the trouble is within this area they have links to PDF's for minutes of meeting and staff details ect.

Google has indexed the PDF's and if you type the right thing into Google you can view the PDF's that are only meant to got to from the login are.

Could anyone help us with the fix for this please.

cheers

Materials you do not want indexed should be in folders that are blocked by robots.txt file and have noindex meta tags.

it sounds like that content should not only be subject to robots exclusion but should instead be in a password-protected area.
