I was going through my stats through Google Analytics for one of my main sites and I observed the following stats listed below.

I was wondering how it compares to others and what I should take/extract from these numbers? How poor or well is my site performing? They dont look as good as I expected but was wondering if others are experiencing the same.

I rounded up numbers by 0.1% in case giving the exact stats is against the T&C.

//Visitors//

New Visitor: 71%
Returning Visitor: 29%

//Visitor Loyalty//

Loyalty:
1 times: 71%
2 times: 10%
3 times: 4%

Depth of Visits:
1 pageviews = 75%
2 pageviews= 12%
3 pageviews= 5%

Length of Visits:
0-10 seconds: 74%
11-30 seconds: 3%
31-60 seconds: 3.5%

I have:

New visitor 82%
Returning 18%

Visitor loyalty:

1 time 82%
2 times 10%
3 times 3%

Depth of visit

1 pageview 50%
2 pageviews 12%
3 pageviews 11%

Lenth of visit
0-10 52%
11-30 8%
31-60 9%

None of the above cheers me, as I'd like to see more repeat visitors looking at more pages longer.

I take the new visitor count with a grain of salt, though, because I'm certain it's higher than the real number.

thanks dickbaker for sharing,

I also should have mentioned that for my site: 50% of traffic is through Google and the other 50% is from direct advertising.

I think the stats kind of do depend on the type of traffic because someone actually searching for something on a search engine and landing on your page is probably gonna search more in depth and stay longer on your site VS a visitor redirected through a flashing banner on another site.

at least thats my thought....

does anyone ever track visitors to leads (conversions)
purpose of my site it to get leads, (standard form fill - requests for more info). I am wondering if there are averages of what is a good or bad visitor to lead ratio.

An opt-in form with some reward to entice visitors to subscribe (to a newsletter for example) would be a good place to start.

Don't ask them to subscribe to obtain more info. Tell them there is a big reward if they do. That works a lot better (reversed psychology)

It is considered "excellent" when you manage to get a 30% subscription rate from new visitors.

Just my 2 cents though.
