a)Tried to build one or b) tried to use one?

a) No
b) I prefer to make my own comparisons and get pretty hacked off over the way these sites dominate the serps.

I'm with you on that point. These sites offer zero content and just post prices and links to a dozen sites or so for each item. I suppose they rank, in part, through sheer size; thousands of pages. All of these sites point to 'the usual suspects'. I assume that there is a lot of paid linking of kickbacks. One is about the same as any other. I refuse to use them and will leave immediately if accidentally wandering into one. I'll do my own searching. They aren't 'Consumer Reports' sites. They don't provide anything other than a 'directory' of quick link sources. The rankings are outrageous.
