Hi guys, I need some help here, mayber its a really obvious problem, but i'm pretty new to site making and stuff, so some answers would be really appreciated.

Heres what happened, I suddenly lost my google ranking because i switched from the standard template to wordpress.

I thought I would make my site look better and have more built-in tools with wordpress, so i decided to switch over from my original template to wordpress.

I use hostgator and so I changed it with Fantastico De Luxe as it was the option that I could use to change to wordpress.

However, right after I switched over to wordpress, I checked my google search ranking, and its not even on there anymore. Before I changed it was on the third page (#23), it wasn't high but it gave me something to work towards.

When I switched over to wordpress, I also changed the site description and title that would appear on google search (is that a bad move?), but ever since I changed the description and title, when I search my site in "site:mysite.com", the search result would include descriptions and titles from my original template (is that normal?)

I can still find my site in google when i search "site:mysite.com", but the result looks like the webpages from my site bfore i had changed over to wordpress.

So is my sudden drop with google search result a normal thing when I switch over to wordpress? Do I just have to wait and be patient?

This site is only 2 weeks old, and I switched to wordpress just a little over 3 days ago, I've been building new content and adding site to directories. I created a sitemap for google webmasters tool too..

sorry for the long post, i'm just kinda worried that i'll never get back to my original ranking or that i'll never get back to visible SERP

What should I do?

Three days is not enough time to see such major changes show up. I'd give it a little time. One other way to help it along is to 301 old URIs to new URIs. As to changing titles... yes, that will affect your ranking. Hopefully for the better, but it will change it!
