Hiding many affiliate links to look like site url - best way?

I have a company I am working with that I need to send many links to for sales. Is there any advantage SEO or otherwise to put redirects on the links so they look like they originate with my site?

Of course I think it may look more professional to the user to have them look native as well.

Use a redirect script. That way you can track the clicks and have a local link. This forum (webmasterworld) uses a redirect script for all external links.

It depends on what technology you are using for your site. For instance if you are using Perl...

You would simply pass in the url as a parameter to this script, and use it in for the redirection.
