I have just acquired a virtual windows 2003 server from 1and1 and I want to install proper antivirus security before I do anything else.
I had a dedicated server before with McAfee Total Protection. McAfee informs me that their software will not work on a virtual server. Also the Norton offered by 1and1 doesn't work on the server.
I read on different forums that NOD32 from Eset is good. I have contacted them, but they are not answering me. Does anyone have experience with this product?
I also contacted Kaspersky and they are also not answering me.
I would like to get a trial version to make sure the software works before signing a 2-year contract, but since no one seems to think it important to answer me, I guess I will have to order and hope for the best. So if anyone has experience with either of the two, please let me know. Mainly I want to know if their product support is better than their customer service.
I have ruled out Avast because of the high price.
thanks for any help

nod32 is not the resource hog that Norton and some of the others are, and it has caught a lot of stuff that was slipping by those other packages. Well worth the investment in my mind.
Do a site search and I think you will find others that have said the same thing.
