Windows Vista Creates Multiple Accounts

This problem is starting to bother me...

I have a new Fujitsu laptop running Windows Vista. When I first setup the laptop I couldn't figure out the OmniPass system for quite a while, but finally got it running.

My only problem now is that when I turn on the laptop, and I get to the interface where all accounts are shown, I have TWO of the same user accounts represented on that interface!

So when I turn on the computer, there are TWO accounts with the name of Christian.

But when I look into the Control Panel at the ADD OR REMOVE USER ACCOUNTS area, there is just one account called Christian.

What's up with this problem? Anyone else seen it before?

Thank you in advance,

Christian

One [b]could be admin and the other user, though they are both the same account. Just a shot in the dark, but I have something similar on XP and they were the same account, though only one displays.

Change the name of the account and see what happens. That might make them both show up in the control panel... or since it's vista, the computer might catch on fire, burn down your house, wreck your car, and make you go bald.

can you tell I've had some trouble with Vista? :)

Hahaha... ok it's not that bad. Also, try booting safemode and see if it gives you one or two accounts as a choice for login.

Changed the account name, and that didn't make the other show up on the Control Panel. I also logged into both accounts, checked their properties, and they are both ADMIN. So when I log into each one, it is the SAME exact account. Weird...

I understand why you would warn me about Vista burning my house down....same thoughts here. : )
