Google mail's spam filter broke?

Just had 4000 spam emails in 45mins

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone else has had a problem with Google mail today. In the time it takes me to drive home from work (45mins) I've collected 4000 spam emails, 300 odd of these were in my actual inbox.

I normally only receive around 50 a day and only one of two make it through to my inbox a week.

Very strange. Anyone else?

I’m guessing that the lack of replies means that it’s only me that has this problem.

Still seems very strange to me :¦

Over the last few days I've been getting quite a few SPAM e-mails in my Gmail in box.

It must be a new switch of tactics on the part of the spammers and G has caught up yet. Just keep marking them as SPAM and the system will catch up.
