I work for a University and am looking for an app, preferably freeware, that we can run against our entire web server to check for broken links. File counts will number in the thousands. I would like it to also be able to check virtual servers if possible and limit to just a particular folder on the server if needed.

Does anyone know of such an animal?

Thanks!
Buster

Yes I use "linkscan" just google it top organic search. I use it all the time fact is I just used it this morning.
what I like most about it it shows the page that the broken link is on not just the broken link.

there are several versions depending on the number of pages on your site..

more pages to scan more the cost of the tool. I was able to deal with him on the price You can download a trial version to test it out I think for 30 days.
