Well, I have a huge site about a few hundred thousand pages. Now, I have not submitted any sitemaps so far to any search engines so far. However, looks like they have indexed my whole site anyway. Does submitting site maps at this stage help in any way? If so, how?

The advantage to site maps is they can include pages search engines might miss. You can also include information as when a page(s) was last updated. Given the size of your site, there are free site map generating services which would save you some time.

Marshall, but as I already said, my site is indexed fully. Do u think submitting the sitemap may help the search engine in understanding the navigation on my site better?
