We currently have a situation where we are taking over a .it domain name and are wanting to host it in the UK.
We have been told by the agency we are taking it over from that by law it has to be hosted in Italy which we believe to be untrue.
Has anyone had any experience with this and could give their experience please?

Unless thats an Italian law its not correct - I have South African domains hosted in the UK and there are many large companies that have sites hosted around the world for various reasons.
