My site has been up almost a year. During that time I've noticed way fewer hits from Friday nights through Sunday mornings. How come? (Most of my viewers are in US and northwest Europe.)

Well I don't think this is an AdSense issue, but I have the same experience. I'm pretty sure that's because alot of people surf the internet from work, and that increases the week day visitors.

If that's true, then the reason it increases again on Sunday evening is because it's already Monday in Europe and Asia.

Believe it or not many people have interests and hobbies that don't involve a computer or the Internet, and like to indulge in them at weekends.

I believe this is a pretty much universal phenomenon, and is even more obvious on sites with topics which are weekend activity/hobby oriented. People aren't reading about doing stuff because they are busy actually doing it.

I get a nice sine curve peaking mid week and bottoming weekends, thats been the pattern for the last few years. Weekends can be 1/2 that of mid week.

Seems people just have too much to do in the weekend, than cruise the net.

I'm just the opposite.
My traffic goes up on Thursday, peaks on Saturday and bottoms out Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

It may depend upon the nature of the site. My site is a reference site which is accessed by many students, I have noticed over the past ten years seasonal trends as well as weekday trends. With traffic peaking around exam season, and during weekdays.

Just goes to show, it all depends on your site. Mine starts its upward trend on Saturday, peaks on Monday, then the low on Friday. That's been the case for five years.

mine is the opposite. it starts low on monday, gets lower and lower throughout the week until eventually there are no visitors at all on sunday. i put it down to them all being at church.

well, for me weekends are for doing stuff that have nothing to do with computers. Like, for example I spend my time fishing, watching movies, drinking beer and so on. That is the time when I can indulge all these activities. Don't know if it's the same with others!

On the weekend I take my time eating Cooookies. No, I am joking, actually I spend my time in the mountains climbing. No computers, no technology just the fresh mountain air the rocks and me.
