I have my website www.<snip>.com, A website of tourist company in Bhutan. I want to make this website unaccessible from Bhutan so that other Bhutanese Tour Agents does not copy my Data and ideas.

So I would be grateful to the ones who would help me out in this case to block my website to the users of Bhutan.

I tried many things, and even using PHP, but could not get a better idea to block the entire website for the Bhutanese users.

Please help me as soon as possible if not all of my datas and itinerary would be copied and edited by other web designers.

Thanking you,

You might need to have a list of IP addresses of that location, and accordingly block this area through PHP. It is not difficult to do.

See this thread. [webmasterworld.com]

Do you think these other websites are made in Bhutan?

You possibly need to block India,Bangladesh and all other south east,Thaliand etc... from where most of these Tour operators and their webmasters operates.

Anyone can use a proxy to come in from, for example, the US. For example, Google's Web Accelerator...

Blocking by IP/country is likely to be patchy at best IMHO.

You can't. If anyone wants to get to your site they can easily find a way to do it.

Better is to only put hints about your tours on the web, and have them contact you for more information. Otherwise they could 'join' the site to see all trips you have and filter them as members. But really you only have time on your side, they will find out no matter what you do.

Most of us find a website on Google/yahoo etc...

Consider If I find it on google/yahoo
1)I can do a Catche and see it online
2)When I try to open it directly it will not open so I am going to open it using a server in USA and then see in more depth why you are hiding it from me!

Don't put all your business ideas online!
If you're worried about them stealing content, then your problem is the same as everyone here. Just concentrate on
1) lots of good content
2) SEO - get links coming in, hopefully from good sources; and
3) if they copy your content, file DMCA against them.

That's it. There's no magic bullet. You just have to be the best Bhutan travel site on the internet!
