Hi all,

I'm considering putting together a jobsite to help with my current work, I have many great and varied plans for this - but the basics would be:

*Option for people to register and have tick boxes for areas they're interested/experienced in.

*When a new job is posted, the same boxes must be ticked by the poster - and from there the job spec will be posted on the site, and also emailed out to registered members with any of the same boxes ticked

Other than that, it would be great to be able to store people's CVs - but that's something that isn't as important.

Is there a template for this? Or would it be best to get something created from scratch?

There are plenty of job sites out there. You can look at what the competition is using or try your hand with one of the CMS packages out there. It doesn't sound as if it would be very difficult to customize one of the portal CMS packages to do what you want.

Hi - thanks for the response.

I'll look into a CMS then, any particular recommendations?

This site isn't meant to be a money spinning megasite, just something small that will allow me to keep in touch with a network of consultants that I work with.
