I am getting many hits on my site from what seems to be yahoo emails.

They all follow the formula below with the f345 changing to others.

There are easily 100's of such hits, from dozens of emaill link (I suppose)

can anyone break down to the yahoo url and find what the url string says?

Eg:
us. = USA
f345 =?
ym =?

[us.f345.mail.yahoo.com...]

I have a forum with auto-notification, so I get thousands of these. "ym" is invariable so is probably just the path to the script, one can guess that the fnnn relates to the server (of which there are surely hundreds serving Yahoo Mail), the first two letters relates to the language/country version of Yahoo Mail that the person is using, for example "fr" is France, "cf" is French (Canada), "ca" is English (Canada), etc.

So the only thing that you can glean from the URL is the localization of the user's Yahoo Mail.
