'www' as a folder/directory on your site

Is there anything wrong with one of your folders being named 'www'

I was recently asked this question, and while I don't see any problems with it, I really couldn't say, definitively, whether there might be any problems with this or not.

"Is there any reason why any SE might look unkindly on using 'www' as the name of a folder on your site?"

For example: http://www.example.com/www/example-page.html

Please let me know if you've ever come across this.

Thanks.

I wouldn't think so as long as the server is configured correctly you should have any problems.

No. Sorry. I'm not wondering if it would cause problems. I wondered if using 'www' as a directory name could have any benefits regarding SEO in any way. I don't think it would make any difference one way or another, but I've never come across it before, so I'm wondering....

I guess I should have worded my original post a bit better. ;)
