Network problem!

Networking Windows '98 SE, 2003 Server and Vista

I’m running a Home office, I have 4 pc two of which im running win98 OS and other two latest one is Win 2003 server and another one Win vista. When I try to make a Network connection its showing error. I just want to know should I upgrade my two pc to win xp or win2003 the error is incompatiability. Is that the only solution for this, any suggestions! Plz help.

Windows 98 can have some networking issues. You would be a lot more secure with a newer version of Windows for those machines. However, it's not impossible to work with Win98. What's the error you're getting? On what OS? When do you get the error?
