With numerous business relying on search engine rankings primarily, if not exclusively, what do you think would be the future of online marketing/SEO?

It is most worried question of all SEO webmasters...

IMO as far as SE's gives most valuable/correct results you will not have to worry, online marketing/SEO will never die till webmasters keep faith in search engines.

If SE are getting better in finding relevant results in the future, webmasters should become better in providing more relevatn content.

This was the past and will be the future - the question is not HOW a SE is looking for content, but what kind of content it is looking for.
