Not sure where else to ask this question so I'm putting it here. I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to assign an IP to a machine based on the username that logs into the domain. For example, I want Bill to always get 172.20.72.113 whenever he logs into the domain no matter what PC he uses. is this possible?

IP address assignments happen when the machine boots, not when the user logs on, and I don't think there's any reason why the DHCP protocol should know what a user is. So probably not. But it would depend on the capabilities of your particular DHCP server.
