Want to email clients a promo emailer to advertise a specific event.
And there would be link within the emailer on which they click and which adds this date into their mail client calendar
Can I target multiple mail clients or do I have to tailor this to just one mail client eg. outlook...
I am sure this is possible although i have never seen it done before
Anyone knows how do I go about this?
Many THANKS!
There certainly are differences. Outlook and Outlook Express are two very different applications. Outlook Express doesn't have a calendar app, so you might run into trouble there.
i don't think it matters if your email client supports a calendar application.
what matters is what happens when you click on a link or attachment with a text/calendar MIME content type or a .ics file extension.
it should bring up the (hopefully)calendar application you assigned to this type of data.
for example, if you email client is not web enabled you can typically click on an .html "link" and it will show the url in your web client.
same thing technically...
