Hiya fellows,

I’m new to this forum so please don’t laugh if my questions seems stupid. :)
So 1st question:
Would it be ok if the content of my site is a little bit different from its meta tags? For example: the title of the page is “Team building” so in it’s meta tags I’m using keywords and description that is relevant to Team building, but in a content I provide information about how to use that page, and I use the same content on most of our pages, (of course with a slight changes).

I’m asking it because I heard that meta tags are not very important to google so I’m afraid that the same content on most of our pages can lower our rating in google.

I would be very grateful to hear your opinion.

Cheers
Donatas

As you said meta tags aren't very important. In your case I personally would recommend not using them at all ... the buzz I hear is that you are better not having them than having them be off-topic to the page. Maybe move the info that's in the meta-description into the body of the page somehow, this might be helpful to your users also.
Why is there no relevant content in the page? JavaScript or Flash based site?

Just make the title, keywords etc. relevant to the actual content on the pages? No sense in worrying about this or that if you just fix the underlying problem.
