Why does my website not listed in Alexa country list?

Hi there,
Just a little question. In my country (Turkey), 100. website has ranking 8,760. But there are some sites in Turkish with better alexa ranking. For example I know a website with 5,747. But website with 5,747 is not in Alexa top 100 list. All figures are 3-month average. Why smaller alexa ranking exclude top 100 list? Thanks & Happy new year.

Alexa only ranks sites according to visitors with Alexa software/toolbar. You may be comparing *current* popularity among toolbar users with the 3 month *average*; or perhaps the site was no available for the whole 3-month period. maybe they discount repeat visits from webmasters who constantly revisit the site to improve their rankings?

Either way, it really has no value or use, unless your target audience is alexa toolbar users. It's a toy, not a tool.
