I have a client that wants to sell their website which generates ungodly amount of traffic and wonderful sales per month. Currently they just don't have time to run the site and spend the time needed in it's community, etc.

What should I suggest? Sell it privately or offer it to some of their current direct vendors; should they contact big names in their industry? Should they make it public knowledge they are selling and possibly lose the vendors they DO have at their site currently (which is a big factor to their income at the site), etc.

MANY THANKS for input on this!

I would like to approach big people in the industry for big price as you said it has good traffic.

It strikes me weird that someone would give up something like that, if it's that big of a winner, why not simply hire someone to run it for you...

if the sales are "all that"...then it shouldn't be an issue...

just wanted to poke my $0.02 in ...
thanks!

Agreed, glowingdesigns you are presented with a unique opportunity here, beat your feet to the bank and borrow what's needed, buy it yourself and retire.

What I don't understand is that you have an understanding of AdSense as you posted the following comment just a few hours ago:

Still no PIP here in New York this afternoon; but must agree with many of the most recent posts in that their terms on payment are very clear in that it doesn't say anything about paying early due to Holidays... after all we don't all celebrate Christmas; also it does say, "by the end of the month". I'll be concerned if the payment is still not processing after December 31st :)

... and yes, our account has earned more than $100 in November :)

If so anyone here would do whatever it takes to buy this site unless there is information we do not have.

Go for it or sticky me and I'll buy it.
