Is anyone noticing a sudden loss of traffic since Thanksgiving? My traffic is down about 40%

My traffic has been increasing steadily since about mid November (allowing for the normal weekly cycle).

Barely saw a glitch for Thanksgiving.

My metrics have been all over the place since mid-October, I've never seen swings like it.

Normally my best day is a Tuesday however for three consecutive Tuesdays Google decided to punish me with my worst days of the month, they were horrendous with earnings an average 50% of a normal Tuesday, then the following day completely back to normal just like the Monday had been.

Needless to say the CTRs and eCPMs were rather strange on those days too.

I could go on however it would be pointless since no one at the Plex is listening to the anomalous grief they are delivering and as for these unexplained outtages...!

The Google search results have been going through a lot of changes over the last week or so.

Seems like they are doing a lot of user satisfaction checking. When someone clicks on a search result and hits the back button within a certain amount of time then a little 'was this link helpful' message is display with little yes/no buttons. I used to see this occasionally and now I'm seeing it almost all the time. It may be a new thing that they are incorporating into the search ranking algorithm or perhaps they have raised the importance of these surveys.

Perhaps that is what is causing your decrease.

Then again, it could be the side of the bed you're getting out from.
