I've been studying the demographics of my customers and found for the most part they are in the 35-55 age group. I would like to make the look of my site more appealing to that group in order to improve sales. I've already made some changes, such as increasing the size of the font for older people. Does any have any links to studies regarding viewing preferences for women.
At the store, the man tries at most two pairs. The first one that fits, he buys. He's out the store within 15 minutes.
A woman, on the other hand, can know what she wants, but for her, shopping is an experience, a thrill, an adventure. She wants to test colours, sizes, look around compare, compile, ask questions and so on. She'll spend more time at the store and only buy from place that gratify her longing for a shopping experience.
Having said that, your job is to break that down for a Web site.
Good luck!
