Hello all,

This is my first post but I am a long time visitor to this site. I have a question for all you webmaster gurus to ponder.

I instill white hat tactics to my site, <snip>. I've spent a good portion of time optimizing for keywords. My hard work pays off by getting first page results for the keyphrase <snip 3 word kp>. However, the first page results only last for a week. Then, they are gone for about another couple months, then back again for about another week.

My question is if this is normal? I have <snip> hosting my site. They have had networking problems which have caused my site to be unreachable at times. Is google's algo that sensitive to a site on the first time it can't find a site to remove it from search results?

Pls help
Matt

Hi weddingm, welcome to WebmasterWorld.com!

Are your pages in the index (not just that results page) the whole time or are they dropping in and out? Also, how long did the network issues last?
