Skype has announced it has no timetable for the roll out of Mobile Skype, due to unforeseen technical difficulties and a lack of suitable handsets.

The internet telephony company is developing the service for the Symbian operating system, used by Nokia amongst others, Niklas Zennström, Skype CEO and co-founder told Finnish newspaper Helsingin Sanomat.

This is something awesome from Skype. I am an ardent fan of Skype and use it a lot for distance calling.

But I hope they roll out this technology soon.
Even sometime back I read on some IP telephony blog as china already has an IP telephony mobiles and maybe in the process of launching one such. I guess we should check that once.

Peace!

In that case someone else should pick up the ball.

There is no doudt in my mind that this would be a huge success and very doable.

It would be the first step to having everything on one mobile handset, internet, emails, VOIP, organiser etc
