Hello,

I'm coming across a strange issue with my site and hope anyone could enlight me about:
My server side stat counter reports more visits than log accesses;sounds like if log register skips some entry, or on the contrary, stat counter counts some "fake" visits...
Did you encounter such an issue guys?
Discovered something relevant?

Thanks for any feedback

Sincerely

Please define "server side stat counter", are you walking a page counter embedded in the HTML or something?

People looking at your pages in search engine cache would bump the counter.

Please define "server side stat counter"

It's a built-in counter,installed directly on the server,provided by the host.
No scripts on the pages.

People looking at your pages in search engine cache would bump the counter.

The counter reports MORE visits than logs.Your consideration would cover the opposite case...
