Hello!
I have been recently thinking of creating my own dictionary search engine site. I have a list of around 1000 online dictionaries, and basically i want my site to be able to fetch search results from these dictionaries and display them on my site. It's something like onelook.com, but with some extra stuff. Anyways im not a professional developer myself so I asked a couple of companies regarding my idea and no one knew how to do it! they said they need access to the databases of the dictionary sites while other said that they can do it but it would take around 5 minutes to do each search! and no one was able to figure out the method onelook.com uses. Anyways, if anyone knows how this site can be done I would really appreciate it. Thanks a lot!

Welcome to WebmasterWorld ziadm.

The issue you're going to run into is whether you have permission to use those data sources. If you get the proper permissions from each of those services then they may have XML feeds that you could use to show their results. The best course of action would probably be to approach those services and see how to best access their data. Once you have that in place you could probably get a better idea from developers about creating your site.
