I'm currently designing a web site for a book. The site will have about 250 pages. I am thinking of making every section of the book downloadable as a PDF-file on my site. But I'm not so sure if that's a great idea. I fear that people will just download all PDF:s, print them, and never return to my site (and click my ads) :(
Or will only a small percentage of the visitors bother to print the PDF:s? What would YOU do?
is the book covering a narrow topic? or is it covering many sub-themes of a broad topic? ... if you can segment (identify with a specific demographic or interest groups within one demographic) out the various "chapters" of the book and attach some contextual advertising you may be able to realize revenue through the interaction of your user base with each downloadable chunk...(or page where the download is set up...)
Just a thought...maybe it will spur more ...
