International Toll free number forwarding

Are there any hidden cost?

I am interested in getting a tollfree number in US/Canada that forwards to an international number. I found a company (the one with a panda in the logo) that forwards each call for 16 cents per minute, and a monthly minimum spending of $10.00.

Are there any other hidden cost that I should know about? Other than the 16 cents per minute, will I be charged for long distance call? What if no one is able to answer the phone, will that be charged too?

I am completely new to this, so any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot.

What does "international number" mean exactly? There are several VoIP services that let you call for free to land lines in many countries. Have you checked if those cover your target region?

I use the Kall8 tollfree service which is similar. The 16 cents per minute should include the long distance charges. You should only be charged for actual calls that you pick up on.

One thing to watch out for is if you choose an 800 number, you may get a lot of wrong number calls. To avoid this, pick an unused 866, 877 or 888 number.
