so i'm a bit of a noob at setting up websites and stuff. (I can program them fine, but have no idea about Domain names and virtual servers, which i intend to put right!)

so i have:

A domain name: www.mysite.com
A Hosting Company : <snip> (uk)
using IIS6 / Shared hosting (i dont have access to iis)

i have created a virtual server 'mysite' in my hosting package, and now i need to make the domain name www.mysite.com point specifically at this virtual server.

myhost
¦
¦-WWW
...¦
...¦-othersite
...¦-MYSITE

anybody any ideas?

thanks

Colin

Welcome to WebmasterWorld kolin.

Your host should have instructions about how to point the DNS of your domain to their servers.
