[!vml] - What is it?

Destroys Firefox and Opera

Had a site recommended (French), and nothing rendered but image outlines and alt text. Couldn't figure out any way to get at any of the images. Same rendering in Opera as in Firefox; but the pages render perfectly in IE. The source shows <![if!vml]> all over the place.

Is this 'vml' strictly an IE thing?

Yep, i'm afraid so!

I think Frontpage adds in VML content if you use Office WordArt or shapes. I thought it also included a raster alternative, the site you where looking at may have not uploaded those images.
