I'm creating what is essentially a resource pack for a client which has a Flash interface and a number of different read only multi page documents. These documents are mainly PDF. The only issue the client has raised is that some users with less than powerful notebooks say the PDFs are slow to open. This doesn't entirely suprise me.
The only alternative I can think of is to use FlashPaper to convert the PDFs to Flash. I've searched the net for speed comparison of PDF vs FlashPaper, but found none, so any opinions here would be welcome.
(As an aside, I know there are certainly quality issues as well - FlashPaper text is less crisp becasue of inherent technology differences, nor is it selectable, but at this point I'm only considering the loading speed aspect.)
TIA.
