Some of my members can't log into my website from there work place

Tough - they should be working.

There's really nothing you can do though, unless you are somehow able to manipulate your users' site restriction policies, which are usually implemented company-wide. :)

The word chat may have nothing to do with it. An employer who cares about workplace activity reviews logs, and just ban sites they see in their logs that shouldn't be there. They may have just banned the domain from the company network, so most likely yeah . . . they're busted. :-)

Unless . . . they can actually get to the site and just can't log in. This may have to do with cookies and how they are set, or java applets if your site uses them, or are maybe being disallowed by company A.V. settings.

One thing you might want to check, just to be sure, is that your DNS is properly configured. Check for errors at the below URL:

Set up a mirror site with a more "official" sounding domain.

Is your site appropriate for workplace use? Certainly, there are "chat" sites that might be - depending, of course, on the workplace and job function.

If so, then, yes, I'd consider that the domain name could be the problem.

If it just isn't appropriate for workplace use (for example, it has some recreational orientation) then I don't think it's appropriate to try to get around workplace restrictions.
