I have a fully opt in (compliant etc) newsletter that is sent out on a regular basis with many thousands of subs (20K plus).
The method I am currently using is no longer valid and I need to find a suitable mailing manager.
I do not need too many fancy features as the email is plain text. But it does need to be able to handle over 20K subscribers, not have any self promoting ads or anything, and be able to work on the push of one button so I can turn off the computer and do something else. It needs to be secure, and if possible be able to spot fake subscriptions, even black list if possible.
I have spent many days looking and reading and have even considered buying a custom built system.
Does anyone have any recommendations? Ideas, thoughts?
Thank you.
I need to set something up so I can connect from any IP and send direct from my server - that way it bypasses any SMTP restrictions the ISP i am connecting to from has.
That way it does not matter which country I am on as everything is sent from the server.
Problem is knowing which list to choose. I have looked at hit scripts etc but that has just confused me more.
Considered Constant Contact but as they chargely monthly it makes more sense to go for the more expensive one time charge of a custom built solution.
Any thoughts ideas or comments?

It is surprisingly easy to set up, and should be able to handle big mailing lists.
