HI there,

I read that you need a proper robot.txt file so that adsense will display proper ads instead of PSA's, it says to add this code:

User-agent: Mediapartners-Google*
Disallow:

This is the content of my robot.tx file is it ok?

User-agent: *
Disallow: /administrator/
Disallow: /cache/
Disallow: /components/
Disallow: /editor/
Disallow: /help/
Disallow: /images/
Disallow: /includes/
Disallow: /language/
Disallow: /mambots/
Disallow: /media/
Disallow: /modules/
Disallow: /templates/
Disallow: /installation/
User-agent: Mediapartners-Google*
Disallow:

I've manually added the last line. Is everything ok?

Thanks

Do you have any AdSense ads showing on pages within the list of directories excluded by your general disallow list? If not, then you don't need to specify the rule for mediabot at all. Other than that, your syntax appears to be correct. I assume your file is called "robots.txt" (the correct spelling) and not "robot.txt" as in your post.

Your robots.txt file looks fine. Like encyclo said, you really don't need to specifiy the Adsense bot at all unless you're seeing ads within the folders you've chosen to disallow.

Whether you include the Mediapartners statement or not, PSA's may still display on your site if it contains stop-words, or poison words.
