The way I understand this is that you cannot use people pictures at all. So, can I use the pictures to illustrate a point on my website?
The endorsement piece is pretty straightforward. Simply do not use the free pictures as part of your business or company. Meaning, you can't take the picture and redesign it or alter it, with the intention of making it appear to promote your business or some product.
For example, don't take a picture of a beautiful woman and modify it by placing a bottle of Corona in her hands, or by placing her image next to a bottle of Corona as if she's helping to promote it.
