YouTube Will Now Show Ads On All Videos Even If Creators Don’t Want It

YouTube just changed its rules on video monetization, and YouTube creators aren’t happy. Essentially, Google will now show ads on all videos, even if their creators don’t want ads.

The Unlisted embedded videos news that @LostOne has shared here is a change that some may find out about too late. If you uploaded videos to YouTube before the 2017 date, and listed them privately to share with only certain visitors, you need to log in and make changes or they will fail to function after July 23, 2021. If you have them embedded, they need to be publicly available (whether they ever are shown in results) in order to continue being shown on your own site or wherever they've been embedded. You would need to re-upload them as publicly listed after July 23 this year or they'll stop working. :(
