Looking for some help here...
I recently upgraded to premiere pro cs5 and have since been unable to render h.264 movies with f4v using vbr 2-pass. Single pass and CBR work fine.
These aren't large files (under 5 minutes less than 10 tracks), and there's no corruption issues.
The rendering process gets to about 90% and then cuts out with an "Unknown Error" pop-up. Once I click "OK" on the error, I get an Adobe "Low resources proceed with caution" error.
Similar issues are well document, but I've tried everything and can't get VBR 2-pass to work even on small vids.
The machine is dedicated for video editing, and there's no junk memory hogs on it. It's running Windows 64-bit OS, a Phenom II X6 processor, 16GB RAM, 7200rpm drive with 1.5t of free space. Paging is currently set at 16.3g.
I've tested for bad RAM, turned off auto-save, and have performed a host of other suggested fixes to no avail.
My next step is to install two more hard drives for dedicated video and audio scratch, but that seems overkill on a system that shouldn't break a sweat rendering small files.
Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
