I have a .mov video that needs the first few frames taken out (which are black), a play button added and then convert the .mov to a .swf file so it will play in all browsers.
I'm having to use several programs to do this and the end result is a distorted and pixelated movie.
I"m working from a Mac so bought Quicktime Pro to edit the movie (take out the first few all black frames). That works fine.
I don't have Flash so made the transparent button in Fireworks graphics program and added that to the first frame in the edited movie via copy paste (the movie doesn't start until the button is clicked). Once I added the button then the quality of the degraded but I kept going anyway to see if this would work.
However I can't export the movie as .swf in Quicktime so saved it as .mov and loaded another program that opens .mov files and converts them to .swf (Video2swf). However the movie then came out all pixelated and distorted.
Can someone tell me
1. what I'm doing wrong?
or
2. Is there a better program for the Mac that can handle all these steps.
