I'm a complete newbie when it comes to videos, so would appreciate any expert advice ;)
I have a bunch of videos that I will be hosting on my site (which is run on Drupal). I want to optimise these as much as possible to increase their visibility in the SERPS.
With my site powered by Drupal, I have used a module to upload the videos. However, this module, although it looks the best, has limitations on the file formats it can support, and as such I have to upload on videos in .FLV format. Because of this, I can not embed Meta Data into the video, such as a description, keywords etc, that I would be able to do with .AVI for example.
My question is, would submitting a Google Video Sitemap which has tags for description, tags, category etc, be sufficient enough to help their visibility in Google? Would these tags essentially replace those that I may have been able to embed into the video?
Any advice welcome!
