Generally if it can be seen it can be recorded. There are several things you can do to make things more difficult, but it's never impossible. They can't stop the guys with the digital camcorders from copying movies, the same would go for online.

There are numerous Firefox add-ons for grabbing video content, so you`ve got your work cut out.

Thanks guys. That is pretty much what I figured the answer would be.

Put a watermark in the corner for free advertising. You're better off going with the flow than against it where video is concerned. You might stop or slow down your average user but even the most non technical person on the planet is going to find the way to copy it in short order.

I believe there is. of course, you can't do it with YOUTUBE. When you create your video, make sure on permission you click "View only". Then you must host it on your own server. as soon as you post it in any of video sites you make it download able.

Bobkat, I'll reiterate what has already been posted. You cannot protect a video from being copied. You can slow them down but in the end it will always be copyable.

There's more than one way to skin a cat and in the case of video there is usually hundreds of them. It only takes little googling to find them. If someone is determined they will find a way.

There is saying "if it can bees seen or heard it can be copied". That's true right up to the recent "unbreakable" protection on Blu-Ray which the movie industry probably spent hundreds of millions developing.
