Elon Musk has threatened to sue Microsoft over the unauthorized use of Twitter content. It comes after there's a message indicating that Microsoft "drops Twitter from its advertising platform as they refuse to pay Twitter’s API fees." They trained illegally using Twitter data. Lawsuit time.

It seems slightly confusing because OpenAI probably did the training, but the threat is towards Microsoft.

He went on to say,

I’m open to ideas, but ripping off the Twitter database, demonetizing it (removing ads) and then selling our data to others isn’t a winning solution

Once again, isn't that what the search engines have been doing for years? They crawl twiiter, add the data to their database, and serve it up in the SERPs, which, coincidentally, has ads on the SERPs.
