Twitter is testing "unmentioning" with a selected group using the Web. It says that unmentioning is "a way to help you protect your peace and remove yourself from conversations."
Chuckles! This new feature wouldn't be needed if one thinks twice before joining a conversation! :)

Imagine standing in front of someone and having a discussion...
"I don't like were you're going with this, I'm unmentioning that thing I said"
"Huh, you said it, you can't just say you didn't say it"
"now I can, haha... you need to listen better".
/humor off... I just realised that all of the Twitter as news articles will all have misinformation as edits get made... lol. Oh boy... I hope they at least show an edit timestamp. They won't.
