Twitter has introduced a test for bots with "Automated Account" label. Currently, it's testing it with around 500 developers. The label is devised to define good bots, but not for spam bots.

Good bots in the test include...
the public service account @earthquakesSF; a bot offering COVID-19 updates, @vax_progress; a bot that offers an ongoing breakdown of the last 100 bills introduced in Congress, @last100bills; an accessibility-focused bot, @AltTxtReminder; and others that just add value in their own way, like @met_drawings, which shares public domain works from The Met’s Drawings & Prints department, or the goofy @EmojiMashupBot, among others.

I was banned last election for tweeting "the Arizona count looks strange this morning, they should look into it". I tweeted it just after midnight because It looked odd, what can I say. I did NOT mention either party, just like I haven't in this post(which is also NOT about politics, read on)

Today I see Tweets from Taliban officials, many of which are angry, still being welcomed.

Now bots are to be welcomed too and I'm left wondering if Twitter has had its moment of fame and if it has... will it be because of the bots?

Let me get this straight ... does this mean T is going to blue check bots in the future?
