Twitter is to test conversation tweets in the coming weeks. It's a limited beta program so it'll be for selected users.
The idea is for users to try out new organization and context features with their followers, such as the status updates and "ice breaker" tweets we saw being tested last year, which are designed to encourage people to talk to each other.
Heh. Love the need to mess with product. 2019 and it is time to roll out "something new!" "shiny" "next best thing!" ... and have it bite them in the you know what down the line.
Sometimes something pure that works can be modified for the sake of proclaiming "This is New And Great! We Continue to Innovate!" and tortured into something less useful.
Time will tell.
Don't mean to sound negative ... just seen the same thing from farm implements to jet aircraft over the last 50 years. :)

Well, there have been many innovations that have been successful, and innovation is the key to this, in anything. It's how products an services are improved. Some fail, but you have got to try.
