Twitter, we know, has stepped up to deal with abuse, and the latest stats from the company indicate it's dealing with ten times the amount of abusive accounts compared to last year.
Some offenders continue to sign up with new accounts, but twitter is saying its systems are catching double the number of these people.
For some offenders that might not be classed as serial offenders, but simply go into a period of abuse, will find their accounts are set to limited functionality. This results in fewer complaints, and approximately 65% of these accounts change their ways and don't re-offend.
